Paving the Way to a Cleaner, Greener Neighborhood

The Every Bin Cleaned team.
Behind every charming neighborhood is a collection of grimy, smelly trash bins. The residents roll their bin out to the curb for trash collection, but after the trash is removed, the bad odor and bacteria linger in the bin. Luckily, a small team of entrepreneurs in Polk County, Florida saw a need and were compelled to meet it – and so, Every Bin Cleaned was born.

Dirty trash bins are a petri dish for odor, germs, bacteria, and can even lead to pest problems. Cleaning them yourself is not only a tedious chore and ineffective, but also environmentally hazardous if the contaminated water runs into storm drains or gutters. Every Bin Cleaned offers an eco-friendly, advanced cleaning service to sanitize, disinfect, and deodorize trash bins for residential and commercial customers.

When owners Avery Murphy and Merrybeth Etherton heard of the trash can cleaning services being offered in surrounding counties, they started seeking information on how they could sign up to get their personal bins cleaned too. Through Murphy’s research, he discovered the service wasn’t available in their area. So, what did they do? They came up with a plan to bring a highly sought-after service to an under-saturated market.

As small business owners just beginning their entrepreneurial journey, they had a lot of decisions to make: choosing a name for their business, designing a logo and marketing materials, and creating a pricing model. But when it came to choosing a bank to establish their business account, it was a unanimous agreement from the very beginning.

“We have been personal customers with SouthState for many years,” Etherton says. “When we inquired about opening an account for our business, our banker was quick to create a list of the documents we needed to obtain and how we could get them.” Etherton went on to say the process was quick and seamless. “We were in and out in twenty minutes when we opened the account. We value the consistently excellent customer service, and we look forward to partnering with SouthState for our business and personal banking needs for many years to come.”

By opening a business checking account, Every Bin Cleaned is now able to start building credit as a business entity, in addition to separating their business and personal finances. Although Murphy and Etherton are just starting out, the owners are determined to build a positive brand reputation with the residents of Polk County by creating cleaner, greener neighborhoods.

Running a business takes a lot of time and resources. Having a trusted banking partner to help you maximize your account benefits, recommend solutions, and provide sound financial advice when you need it can be pivotal to your operational success.
