Historic Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival – October 10-18, Bluffton, SC
Historic downtown Bluffton is home to a quirky art community, natural beauty and delicious comfort food. The festival, celebrating 11 years this year, is a week long event dedicated to shining a light on locally harvest seafood, Bluffton’s rich history, local culture and art and Lowcountry cuisine.

When the smell of corndogs, fried Oreos and funnel cakes waft through Columbia, you know the State Fair has come to town. Come for the games, fair rides and pig races and stay for the arts and crafts, delicious fair food and musical guests.

Dogtoberfest: Dogs, Dine and Wine – October 17, Johns Island, SC
Bring your dog dressed to impress to this annual event that helps local pet rescues in the Lowcountry. Meet local rescue groups, taste some wine and enjoy food trucks, live entertainment, vendors, pet costume contest and giveaways.

North Carolina Oyster Festival – October 17, Ocean Isle Beach, NC
The oyster festival isn’t just about stuffing yourself with fried oysters, though that is encouraged. Take in the arts and crafts vendors, a variety of food, dessert and beverage choices and relax to live beach music.

Enchanted Forest – October 22-24, Greenville, SC
Bring your children out for a unique fairytale trick or treat experience with their favorite storybook characters. Visit destinations like Robin Hood’s Hideaway, Shrek’s Swamp and venture into a magical maze. Other entertainment includes carnival games, face painting, balloon animals and costume contests.

Fall Festival of Houses and Gardens – October 23-25, Beaufort, SC
Step back in time and take in the architecture of the past 200 years in historic Beaufort. Other tours include a tour of White Hall Plantation and a kitchen tour that includes cuisine cooked by local chefs in the featured homes. This popular event is organized by Historic Beaufort Foundation.
Bark in the Park – October 24, Orangeburg, SC
Celebrate Halloween early with your four-legged friends at the 7th Annual Bark in the Park event. Come out to enjoy food and local vendors, kids games and a Halloween Costume Contest for the dogs.
