About Amy R. Henderson, J.D.
As a Private Wealth Advisor, Amy builds relationships by comprehensively identifying clients needs and creating solutions to meet those needs. Her expertise lies in trust and estate planning, legal interpretation of governing documents and tax efficient wealth planning.
Prior to joining South State Wealth, Amy was involved in the private practice of law focusing on the legal representation of families and family offices with an emphasis on the areas of tax efficient wealth transfer planning and preservation, family partnerships, non-profits and the representation of fiduciaries. She received an undergraduate degree from Auburn University and her law degree from the University of Alabama.
After serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Joel F. Dubina, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, Amy became actively involved in state and local professional organizations, including the Savannah Estate Planning Council, Savannah Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia and State Bar of Alabama.
Amy is a graduate of Leadership Savannah and is a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Savannah. She served as President of the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire, Inc. and on the Board of Directors of The Savannah Community Foundation.
Amy lives in Savannah with her two sons. Their family loves to travel but enjoys returning to their coastal community where they stay active in boating, fishing, crabbing and participating in sports.
