George King is an Executive Vice President and the President of South State Wealth. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Economics and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Carolina.
George began his career in the financial services industry in the early 1990’s working for several regional banks both as a Private and Commercial Banker. In 1999, he joined a national brokerage company as a Financial Advisor. And in 2009, George joined South State Bank.
George is a Board Member of SC Health Company, a Board Member of Palmetto Health, Vice-Chair of the Richland Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees, past Member of the Board of Directors of Trinity Housing Corporation, past President and Board Member of the Palmetto Baseball League, and past Chair and Member of Leadership Columbia.
George and his wife, Beatrice, have three children and live in Columbia.
