About Shields Cochran
Shields joined South State Bank in June 2002 as a Private Banker. With over 22 years of experience in business and private banking, he focuses on delivering personal and business services to professional and executive clients. Mr. Cochran received his A.A. degree in psychology from North Greenville University, a B.A. degree in psychology from Furman University and a M.A. degree in education from Southern Seminary.
Shields received the President’s Award for Top Banker in 2003 and received the President’s Award in Business Banking and Premier Banking during his career with Bank of America.
A Greenville native, he enjoys spending time in Greenville and Montana with his family. Shields is an identical twin.
