CLINTON, S.C. – (Nov. 19, 2018) – South State Bank has donated $7,500 to Thornwell, a child and family services agency based in Clinton, SC.
“We are pleased to help further the work Thornwell is doing to strengthen at-risk families and provide loving care for children in need,” said Luke McCormack, South State Newberry Branch manager.
“Like South State, Thornwell has its roots in South Carolina but has expanded to other states in recent years to serve even more people. We’re excited to be part of Thornwell’s continued growth,” said Angie Howell, South State Retail Area manager and member of the Board of Visitors for Thornwell.
Thornwell has been helping children and families all across South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida since 1875. Today, Thornwell continues their long history by offering a foster care program and other family and educational support programs. Thornwell provides safe and loving homes for children in need, offers hope for a brighter future through education and community-based programs, and encourages wholeness and healing with counseling & support.
