Positive Pay and ACH Filter

Lock-on-Keyboard

Positive Pay1 and ACH Filter1 are two of South State’s fraud protection services for businesses.  They allow easy detection of fraudulent attempts on your account.

Which service is right for my business?

Depending on your business’s behavior both services can protect you.  Positive Pay protects any checks that you write on your account. Whereas, ACH Filter protects ACH transactions.

How Does Positive Pay work?

Positive Pay matches the account number, check number and dollar amount of each check presented for payment against a list of checks authorized and issued by you.  If any of these components don’t match, we notify you immediately.

Key Benefits

Fraud Protection:

  • Minimizes the potential of fraudulent check activity.
  • Searches for paid checks that do not have a match.

Easy to use:

  • Simplifies end-of-month reconciliation since mismatched items have been previously identified.

How Does ACH Filter work?

ACH Filter allows you to set dollar limits for your account.  For each amount that is over your limit, an email notification listing the exceptions will be sent to you.

Key Benefits

Fraud Protection:

  • Minimizes the potential of fraudulent ACH transactions.
  • Searches for ACH transactions over the desired dollar limit.

Easy to use:

  • Simplifies end-of-month reconciliation since mismatched items have been previously identified.
