  • Why are SouthState Bank and CenterState Bank merging?

    SouthState Bank and CenterState Bank have merged to create a leading regional bank in the Southeast. Together, we have a unique opportunity to create a better banking experience through an expanded footprint, enhanced products and services, and innovative digital offerings for the communities we serve.
  • Will the bank’s name change?

    South State Bank and CenterState Bank, N.A. have merged to become South State Bank, N.A. While the name is changing in some of our markets, we’re taking great care to ensure you continue to receive the same great service you expect from the local faces you trust.
  • Where will I be able to bank after the transition to SouthState?

    You will be able to bank at more than 275 SouthState locations across six states in the Southeast and take advantage of SouthState Online and Mobile Banking to quickly access your accounts anytime, anywhere.
  • When will my CenterState Branch transition to SouthState?

    CenterState branches will transition to SouthState beginning later this spring. Additionally, during the next several months, CenterState customers will begin to see changes in branch logos, as we transition to SouthState.
  • Where is the bank’s headquarters located?

    The headquarters of SouthState Bank is located in Winter Haven, Florida.
  • Will my accounts change?

    If you are a current CenterState Bank customer, once all accounts transition to SouthState, depending on the type of account you have, there may be changes to the account features.
  • When will I receive specific information regarding changes to my account?

    In late April 2021, we will mail a Welcome Booklet and Account Information Booklet to CenterState Bank customers. These booklets include important details regarding the transition, including actions you may need to take. We also encourage you to continue to visit BankingForward.com for updates, as they are made available.
  • Will the bank’s routing number change?

    For current SouthState Bank customers, the routing number will change in late Spring 2021. However, there will be no action required of SouthState customers. Any automatic payments, direct deposits or wire transfers you have set up with the existing SouthState routing number today, will continue to process as normal.
     For current CenterState customers, the routing number will not change.
  • Will my accounts be covered under FDIC Insurance?

    Yes, your accounts will continue to be insured by the FDIC up to the maximum amount allowed by law. Any deposit made to an account opened on or after June 8, 2020, is a deposit at South State Bank, N.A. for FDIC insurance purposes. Click here to calculate your combined bank coverage.

  • Will I receive new checks?

    For current CenterState Bank customers, please continue to use your existing CenterState checks as you do today. After the transition to SouthState, you will receive SouthState checks upon your next order.

  • How will I be able to order SouthState checks?

    SouthState checks can be ordered through SouthState Online or Mobile Banking, by calling SouthState Customer Care at (800) 277-2175, by visiting a local SouthState branch or through SouthState Phone Banking at (800) 763-0555.
  • Will my direct deposits and automatic drafts continue as usual?

    Yes. Any direct deposits or automatic drafts you have set up with your account will continue without interruption.
  • Can I continue to use my existing CenterState Debit Card?

    Please continue to use your current CenterState Debit Card as you do today. We will issue new SouthState Visa® Debit Cards to CenterState customers later this year. You will receive additional communication prior to receiving your new SouthState Debit Card.
  • Can I still use my CenterState Credit Card?

    Yes. You can continue to use your CenterState Credit Card as you do today. We will issue new SouthState Credit Card later this year. Additional details will be included in the Welcome Booklet for CenterState customers.
  • If I am an existing SouthState customer, will I receive a new debit or credit card?

    Existing SouthState customers with a Mastercard® debit card will receive a new SouthState Visa® Debit Card. Customers will receive communications prior to receiving a new card.
    We will not proactively issue any other new debit or credit cards to existing SouthState customers.
  • If I am a CenterState customer and use a SouthState ATM (or a SouthState customer and use a CenterState ATM), will I be charged a withdrawal fee?

    No. Any current customer of CenterState or SouthState can use the ATMs at either bank to make cash withdrawals only and you will not be charged a foreign ATM withdrawal fee.
  • When will I be able to access SouthState Online and Mobile Banking1?

    CenterState customers will be able to access SouthState Online and Mobile Banking later this spring. Additional details will be included in the Welcome Booklet, which will be distributed to CenterState customers in April.
  • Will BillPay be available through SouthState Online Banking and the SouthState Mobile App?

    Yes. BillPay2 is available through SouthState Online and Mobile Banking.  Additional details will be included in the Welcome Booklet, which will be distributed to CenterState customers in April.
  • Are there any changes to my loan?

    You will receive separate communications should there be any changes to your loan. Additional details will be included in the Account Information Booklet, which will be distributed to CenterState customers in April.
  • Will my loan payments continue to be automatically drafted from my account after the transition?

    Yes. Unless you are notified otherwise, your loan payments will continue to be drafted from your account as they are today.
  • What will change about my Treasury Management Services?

    In late Spring 2021, all business customers who use CenterState’s Online Cash Management will transition to a new innovative digital banking technology known as Treasury Navigator®.
  • How do I access Treasury Navigator®?

    To access Treasury Navigator, you will be required to download the Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser to your desktop or laptop. Upon login, your banking information is protected via a state-of-the-art security solution, which includes a multi-factor authentication that is used at each log-in to verify your identity.

    Customers transitioning to Treasury Navigator will receive separate email communications regarding the download process for Treasury Navigator Secure Browser.
  • Will I have to use multiple logins to access my online information?

    With Treasury Navigator®, there is only one sign-on to access multiple Treasury Management services.
  • Can I access Treasury Navigator® on a mobile app?

    Yes. In addition to access through your desktop or laptop, Treasury Navigator® is available via a mobile app. This convenient access allows you to initiate a wire transfer, review account transactions, process ACH transaction, all while you are on the go!
  • Will I still be able to download reports with the new service?

    Yes. There are more options when you download reports through Treasury Navigator® including specific transaction type searches, expanded transaction and payment history and multiple check images.
  • Will I be able to pay bills with the new service?

    Yes. Treasury Navigator® has a robust Bill Pay solution, which includes assigning multiple approvers for payments.
  • Will the Remote Deposit Capture Service (RDC) that I use to deposit checks change?

    Yes. We are partnering with a third-party vendor to assist us in upgrading our RDC service. Additional information will be provided to CenterState clients who use this service.

  • When will the Remote Deposit Service (RDC) system be upgraded?

    We are currently in the process of scheduling appointments with our clients to upgrade the RDC system in February and March 2021. Our partner, Benchmark Technology Group, will be assisting us with this upgrade.
  • How will my RDC system be upgraded?

    You will receive an email from Benchmark Technology Group to schedule an appointment for the RDC system upgrade. During the appointment, a representative from Benchmark Technology group will remotely log into your desktop computer to perform the installation and provide you with additional details. We recommend that you remain at your workstation while you are on the phone with the representative from Benchmark.
  • Do I need to do anything prior to the RDC upgrade?

    Once you schedule your installation appointment, you will receive a confirmation email from Benchmark Technology Group. This email will contain suggestions to help you prepare for the upgrade, including having a check available for deposit so the new system can be tested.
  • When can I start to use the new RDC system?

    Once the system installation is complete, you can use the new RDC system.

  • Will I be able to see past transactions once the new software is installed?

    Once the new RDC software has been installed, your deposit history will not convert to the new solution. However, it will be available within your existing Online Banking system. We strongly encourage you to download your RDC deposit history from your current Remote Deposit Capture system prior to the software upgrade.

  • Why do I have to sign a new Treasury Management agreement?

    In order to for you to continue your selected services and to ensure you and/or any authorized users are able to access your accounts using Treasury Navigator once we combine our bank operations in Spring 2021, you will need to review and agree to the SouthState Treasury Management Master Service Agreement.
  • What happens if I do not sign the agreement?

    If you are unable to sign the SouthState Treasury Management Master Service Agreement, you and/or any authorized users will be unable to access your accounts using Treasury Navigator once we combine our bank operations in Spring 2021. To avoid a disruption in service, we encourage you to sign the agreement as soon as you receive the email from us.
  • Do I need to stop by a branch to sign the Treasury agreement?

    No, we will send an email to you in advance to let you know that another email will be forthcoming which will contain the agreement for you to sign electronically.
  • What is Treasury Navigator®?

    Treasury Navigator® is a comprehensive digital banking solution which provides a convenient way to access and manage all your Treasury Management services within one system.
  • When can I start using Treasury Navigator®?

    In the Spring 2021, we will transition all clients who use Online Cash Management to Treasury Navigator®.
  • How can I access Treasury Navigator®?

    You will access Treasury Navigator® through the Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser, a state-of-the-art secure environment that you will be able to download directly to your desktop or laptop. You will receive additional information and instructions for downloading Secure Browser in the coming months.
  • Can I use my mobile phone to access Treasury Navigator®?

    Yes. When you download the Treasury Navigator® Mobile App from the App Store or Google Play, you gain the added convenience of performing various transactions, such as initiating a wire transfer, depositing a check or processing ACH transactions, when you’re on the go.
  • Will I continue to have multiple usernames and passwords for my Treasury Management Services?

    No. The best part about Treasury Navigator® is that you will only need to remember one password to access the various services you may use including Remote Deposit Capture, Bill Pay, ACH, Positive Pay, Wire Transfer and Lockbox.
  • What is Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser?

    Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser is a restricted-use web browser which protects and allows streamlined access to Treasury Navigator®, the commercial online banking system. Through a secure state-of-the-art, layered-security system and a Single Sign-on (SSO) experience, users gain convenient access to a secure banking site, independent of other applications.
  • How does the Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser work?

    The first step is to download the Secure Browser to your desktop or laptop. Instructions for downloading the Secure Browser will be provided to you. Once you have downloaded the secure browser and received your activation key, you will be able to log into Treasury Navigator®.
    With each log-in, Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser verifies the user’s identity through a Multi-Factor Authentication process, which is a layered security method recommended by the FFIEC.
  • Where can I download the Secure Browser?

    Each user in your company will be required to install Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser from one of the options below. We will provide you with additional details prior to the download process.

  • Is there any anti-virus software that is incompatible with Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser?

    Yes. The following antivirus software has been identified as having Device Control software, which is incompatible:
    • Lumension Device Control module for Lumension Endpoint Management and Security Suite (a.k.a. Lumension Endpoint Security Device Control, LES DC), all versions
    • Ivanti Endpoint Security Device Control (a.k.a. HEAT Endpoint Security Device Control) and all Ivanti products that integrate the Device Control technology, all versions
    • ThreatTrack Security VIPRE Antivirus Business Premium, all 7.5.x versions subsequent to and including 7.5.5819
    • ThreatTrack Security VIPRE Endpoint Security, ThreatTrack VIPRE Advanced Security, and any VIPRE product that incorporates the Device Control technology, Versions 9.6 and later
    • Any product using the same licensed Device Control technology not specifically listed above.
    Generally, Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser is compatible with most antivirus software. However, whitelisting may be required within those applications.
  • What if my anti-virus software is compatible but I am still unable to download Secure Browser?

    Please contact your IT department to have the Secure Browser site whitelisted. It is important to have administrative privileges on the computer where Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser will be installed.
  • I have a Secure Browser from another bank. Can I use what I already have?

    No. The Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser is a fully self-contained browser that does not use any other commercial browser previously installed on a user’s computer. This is a safeguard which insulates your computer from malware that might be attached to other browsers. Users are only allowed access to websites and applications defined and configured by SouthState Bank. The Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser does not have an address line in the browser to prevent users from navigating away from allowable sites. All users are required by South State Bank to use the Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser to access Treasury Navigator.
  • How do I “register” the Treasury Navigator Secure Browser?

    Once you have installed the Secure Browser, you must reboot the computer. Once you have rebooted the computer, launch Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser by locating and selecting the new icon that appears on the desktop, or in the Applications folder if the Secure Browser has been installed on a Mac. Next, enter the Activation Key code and then, select the Continue arrow. You’ll need to create a PIN to use when you log in. The PIN must be between 6 to 12 characters which includes letters and numbers only. Make note of your PIN because you will use this going forward to login and access Online Banking through Treasury Navigator®. You’ll also need to determine your preferred delivery method (email or SMS Text) to receive your user verification code. Email is the default method. Once you receive the verification code, input the code, and select the Continue arrow.
  • Where can I get the Activation Key?

    You will receive this information from SouthState Bank when we combine our bank operations in Spring 2021 Additional details will be sent to you. If you do not receive this information, please send an email to [email protected] for assistance.
  • What is Multi-Factor Authentication?

    Treasury Navigator® has integrated a strong authentication technology from WiKID Systems in order to utilize a multi-factor authentication process. Treasury Navigator® utilizes a software-based security token to gain system access. Through a simple and easy PIN registration process, the soft token is activated.
  • Why is Treasury Navigator more secure?

    Treasury Navigator is more secure system because the software performs a self-test during the log in process and prevents customers from logging in if tampering, corruption, or infection is detected. Additional security features include an embedded keyboard driver which encrypts the user’s keystrokes within the application to prevent keylogging and a one-time, time sensitive passcode is generated during the login process.
