In April, we welcomed several new communities to the South State footprint, and we’re happy to spotlight some of them this month. Read more about what some of these new communities have to offer!
We are excited to take our first steps into Virginia with the addition of several branches in Richmond and surrounding towns.
As the state capital, Richmond, VA is steeped in history and famous landmarks, and boasts a bustling tourism industry. Whether you want to explore the Edgar Allan Poe Museum, visit one of country’s oldest farmers market at the 17thand Main Streets Farmers Market or take in a game of rat basketball at the Science Museum of Virginia, Richmond has something for you.
In North Carolina, our new communities include several Charlotte suburbs, bringing more convenience to our customers.
As one of the largest suburbs of Charlotte, Gastonia, NC is a quickly growing community that mixes a historic downtown with easy access to city conveniences that’s perfect for young professionals and families. Enjoy a revitalized downtown with a visit to The Schiele Museum of Natural History, the Dougie Henry Farmers Market or your favorite local restaurant or retailer in Gastonia.
The ever-growing suburbs of Charlotte are made up of diverse and charming towns, and we’re excited to part of them!
Our new South Carolina communities are scattered throughout the Piedmont and Upstate regions.
Saluda, SC is another one of our communities recognized as a National Historic District. Named for the Saluda River, which forms one of the town’s borders, the residents of Saluda have created a welcoming and charming small town not far from Lake Murray.
We’re also excited to welcome more communities in Northeast Georgia.
Blue Ridge, GA is a mountain town in northern Georgia known for its thriving art community. The Blue Ridge Community Theater is one popular attraction, in addition to the craft breweries and local restaurants located downtown. Catch an antique train ride along the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway or pack a picnic and head to the trails through the Chattahoochee National Forest to Long Creek and Fall Branch waterfalls.
While these are only some of our new communities, we look forward to spotlighting all of our communities on social media.
