Yes. Samsung Pay™ processes transactions through a tokenization service. This token replaces the card number with a unique alphanumeric identifier.
Samsung Pay does not store or have access to card numbers. The token, not card number, is sent to the processor where it is decrypted and verified against information stored.
To make a payment, you must use your fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN. Due to this requirement, fraud will be reduced when using Samsung Pay.*
