SouthState To Open Office in Tampa’s Rivergate Tower
5/29/2024
Tampa, Fla. – May 29, 2024 – SouthState Bank today announced it has leased space for a regional headquarters in Tampa’s iconic Rivergate Tower.
SouthState’s Rivergate office will house the bank’s regional Commercial banking team, a training and meeting space, as well as a board meeting room. SouthState will occupy approximately 17,000 square feet of space in the building.
“I’m thrilled that SouthState will be part of the downtown Tampa skyline, with our name atop the iconic Rivergate Tower,” said Angel Gonzalez, division president, West Florida Region. “The building itself is one of the largest limestone structures in the world, and its cylindrical shape was meant to symbolize a lighthouse – sending out a brilliant beacon of economic light from downtown Tampa. SouthState is excited to have a regional headquarters on the 29th floor of this 31-story building and looks forward to being the economic lighthouse for the customers we are proud to serve in the region.”
The bank plans to occupy the Rivergate space by early next year.
Rivergate Tower is a 520,000-square-foot office tower located directly on Curtis Hixon Waterfront park and is a recognizable part of Tampa’s skyline. The CBRE team of Roxanne Kemph and Kelley Matheson lease the building on behalf of the owner, Banyan Street Capital.
