You can quickly open Samsung Pay from the Home screen, Apps menu, or lock screen, even if the display is dark or off.

  1. Swipe from the bottom of the screen to the top to access your payment cards.
  2. If necessary, swipe to the left or right to access the desired card.
  3. Place your finger on theHome key to verify your identity. If you are using your Samsung Pay PIN, touch PIN and enter your four-digit code.
  4. Place the back of your device against the card or NFC reader on the payment terminal.
  5. If necessary, complete the transaction on the payment terminal. For example, if you are using a debit card, you are still required to enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN). Is Samsung Pay™ secure?

Yes. Samsung Pay™ processes transactions through a tokenization service. This token replaces the card number with a unique alphanumeric identifier.

Samsung Pay does not store or have access to card numbers. The token, not card number, is sent to the processor where it is decrypted and verified against information stored.

To make a payment, you must use your fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN. Due to this requirement, fraud will be reduced when using Samsung Pay.*
