David M. Kirkpatrick, CFP®
David is the Managing Director of South State Advisory. In his role, he is focused on developing investment strategy and constructing investment portfolios to meet client objectives.
David began his career in Finance in 2002. Prior to joining South State Bank in 2013, David was a Portfolio Manager for a large regional bank serving South Carolina. David graduated with a B.S. in Finance and holds an MBA from the University of South Carolina. He is also a Certified Financial Planner®.
David is a Board Member and Treasurer for Homeless No More. He also serves as a Board Member for Columbia Chamber of Commerce and for Palmetto Baseball League.David lives in Columbia, SC with his wife, Catherine, and their two boys, Ben and Taylor. When away from the office, David enjoys running, practicing baseball with his boys and an occasional round of golf.
