Carefully Monitoring Your Account is One of the Best Ways to Avoid an Overdraft

Carefully Monitoring Your Account is One of the Best Ways to Avoid an Overdraft

As an alternative to the Bank’s Courtesy Overdraft Privilege (COP) service, Overdraft Protection options are available when there are insufficient funds in your checking account to cover an item.

These Overdraft Protection options may be more affordable and a better fit for your banking needs. Contact a banker today to learn more about these options. Please also refer to Money Management Tips below for information related to avoiding an overdraft.

1. Online Banking1

Online Banking allows you to check your balances and make transfers from one account to another anywhere you have Internet access. 2. Mobile Banking2

Mobile Banking is a convenient and secure way to manage your accounts. Instantly access real-time account balances with Instant Balance. Monitor account activity by viewing your recent transaction history, including pending transactions, and deposit checks anytime, anywhere using Mobile Deposits. You don’t need a smart phone to access great features with Mobile Banking. Text Banking offers an on-the-go resource for monitoring your accounts. Text banking allows you to view account balances and recent transaction history from your mobile phone.

You must be enrolled in Online Banking to use our text banking services.

5. Branch or ATM

You can obtain your account balance at any SouthState branch or ATM. You can also deposit funds into your checking and savings account(s) at any SouthState branch and select ATMs.
