Corporate Stewardship
Corporate Social Responsibility
We are committed to improving the communities we serve.
Our Company was founded on the principles of providing innovative, personalized banking services for all; making our communities a better place to live; and supporting our knowledgeable, experienced bankers. Decades later, we are still taking measurable steps to continue these initiatives.
We uphold values grounded in the betterment of our employees, our customers, our communities and the larger world around us. We believe in providing an inclusive working environment, environmentally friendly practices, improving neighborhoods through lending and investment, and taking care of our fellow bankers in need.

We begin with recruitment practices that seek out talented individuals. We coordinate with regional leaders in major metropolitan markets, as well as Historically Black Colleges and Universities. These practices help us grow our diverse pool of talent from which to train and promote from.
Whether they’ve recently joined the Bank or have been a banker with us for years, our employees understand the need to create an atmosphere of acceptance that celebrates each employee’s strengths and differences.

Corporate Social Responsibility
While our bankers work hard to bring high-touch, innovative banking solutions to our 6-state footprint, they’re also advocating for charitable causes and spending time outside of the office volunteering. Employees receive paid time off for volunteer service each year as part of the Bank’s commitment to community.
Additionally, our ever-evolving digital channels help our customers go green with e-statements, BillPay and online account opening through our enhanced website.

Community Development
Leaving our communities better than we found them is a cornerstone of our company values. Our practices include providing equity funding to developers of affordable housing, offering down payment assistance funds to low-to-moderate income borrowers, investing in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) to create more affordable housing units and providing community development loans, among other initiatives.
