James Hamilton

James Hamilton is a Small Business Banker for SouthState serving the Metro Atlanta area. He is dedicated to building strong relationships with small business owners and helping them grow through relationship focused banking. James partners with his clients to support their lending needs, day to day banking services, and long term financial goals. He is also able to assist with consumer lending needs.

James earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Valdosta State University. Prior to joining SouthState in 2021, he spent 11 years serving customers in a variety of banking roles, including Branch Manager, business development, and consumer lending. His broad experience allows him to take a well rounded, consultative approach when working with clients.

Active in his community, James has served on a nonprofit board focused on youth outreach. He resides in Lilburn, Georgia, with his wife and three sons. Outside of work, he enjoys sports and is passionate about coaching and mentoring youth.
