Maxwell Doherty

Maxwell is the Charlotte Region Small Business Banker for SouthState at the Charlotte Morrison branch. He is responsible for serving small businesses in the Charlotte Metro Region.
Maxwell obtained a Business Management Degree from Appalachian State University. He started his banking journey with SouthState Bank as a Commercial Banking Intern and then proceeded into the Commercial Banking Associate program.
Maxwell finds the small business world near and dear to his heart as he is the son of a small business owner. He has seen the highs and lows of what it takes to be a small business owner and has a passion to help others turn their dreams into a reality. Maxwell also helps his family organize and coordinate a local 5k on Thanksgiving morning with proceeds and donations going to help a local Soup Kitchen, Angels and Sparrows.
Outside of the office, Maxwell enjoys spending time with friends and family. He is very passionate about getting outside, golfing, and rooting on his alma matter, App State Mountaineers and Buffalo Bills.
