Jake Schoolfield, CFP®

Jake leads the SouthState Premier Private Client Group team in the West Florida market. He is responsible for advising high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and professional practices helping them identify the right banking solutions to achieve their financial goals. Jake holds a degree in Finance from the University of South Florida and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He is also a Certified Financial Planner ™ (CFP®), bringing a holistic and disciplined approach to client advisory. Jake joined SouthState in 2014 and is a seasoned banking professional with 25 years of experience holding various roles throughout his career serving high-net-worth individuals and their businesses. His career has been focused on aligning client’s business and personal financial strategies to support long-term goals whether building enterprise value, planning for generational transitions, or preparing for successful exits. Beyond his professional work, Jake is actively involved in the community, having served on various committees and boards of local nonprofits. He currently serves on the executive board of the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council of Scouting America. Jake lives in Tampa, FL with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time at the beach, fishing and traveling with his family.
