Joseph K. Beach
Joe is a Vice President and Wealth Advisor with South State Private Wealth, based in Greenville, South Carolina. He takes the time to get to know his clients so that he can help them attain their wealth planning goals. Joe desires to be a resource to clients in passing down not only material wealth to their families, but the values that helped them succeed in the first place.
Prior to joining South State Private Wealth, Joe practiced law for 20+ years in the tax, estate planning, and business planning areas and worked for a private wealth management firm. Joe's experience includes drafting and implementing estate planning documents, preparing estate tax returns, representing clients before the IRS, serving as counsel to buyers and sellers in various business transactions, and forming and maintaining limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and corporations. Most recently, Joe served as a Regional Trust Advisor for a large regional bank where he regularly reviewed estate planning documents and made recommendations to high net worth and ultra high net worth clients.
Joe graduated magna cum laude from Tennessee Temple University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a Proficiency in Accounting in 1990 and the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1994. In addition to obtaining a license to practice law, Joe sat for the CPA exam and has a license to practice public accounting. Joe is also a Certified Practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Steps I and II Instruments, a personality inventory to help people discover what makes them tick.
