Manny Opoku, Jr.

Manny joined SouthState in November 2025 and serves as a Premier Private Banker, Vice President in the Triangle area. He is responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing a portfolio of both business and consumer banking relationships. Manny has worked in the financial industry since 2011 supporting both consumer and business segments in a variety of roles at two large regional banks. In one of his roles as a Business Development Officer, he supported many facets of businesses' financial needs including lines of credit, business and equipment financing, accounts receivable, payments, risk management, and insurance. With his background in business banking, Manny possesses a keen understanding of the challenges that many small businesses encounter daily, and as a result he works to help alleviate these stressors for business owners. Manny lives with his family in Raleigh, NC and is an avid fan of the UNC Tarheels. He loves attending football and basketball games, shooting pool with friends, and attending local music concerts throughout the Triangle. Additionally, Manny cherishes quality time with his family.
