About Matt Day
Matt joined South State Wealth in May of 2019 as an Associate Portfolio Manager. He is a 2012 graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Financial Management. After graduating from Clemson, Matt went to work in financial management for a Dallas, TX based manufacturing firm as they underwent private equity restructuring. South Carolina being his home, Matt joined South State Bank in 2014 where he held roles in the Commercial Banking Division and more recently as the Financial Forecasting Manager for South State Bank. Matt draws on his prior financial management and analysis experience to bring a fundamentals-based perspective to the portfolio management process. Matt lives in Simpsonville and is an avid golfer and Charlie Munger fan.
