Payton Wadley

Payton Wadley is a Vice President with commercial lending capabilities within the Premier Private Client Group for SouthState Bank.  He is primarily responsible for all aspects of business development and relationship management with high net-worth business owners, family offices, and c-suite executives.  Additionally, he works closely with various centers of influence across the sports ecosystem to serve athletes, coaches, franchise owners, and executives in a premier private banking capacity.  Payton attended Tennessee State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration and has since earned a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Arkansas State University.  Prior to joining SouthState in October 2024, he spent over 14 years banking clients at Wells Fargo, First Horizon and most recently Northern Trust. He is also a member of the loan committee at ACE Capital (a community development financial institution or CDFI), in addition to being a board member for the Georgia Sports Innovation Coalition (GSIC).  Payton is based in Atlanta and enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and attending sporting events.
