About Robert B. Fauntleroy, CFA®

Bobby serves as Senior Portfolio Manager for South State Private Wealth's Richmond team and is responsible for overseeing the investment strategy and security selection to be used in managing client portfolios. He focuses on constructing the most efficient portfolio with the proper asset allocation for meeting each client's specific need and goals. Bobby is a 1980 graduate of the University of Virginia and earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina in 1988. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®)  designation in 1997. He has managed client investment portfolios for more than twenty-five years at various organizations, including Smith Barney, Wachovia Bank and Union Bank and Trust. He joined South State in 2014.He is an active member of the CFA Society and has served on the local Board of the CFA Society of Virginia. Bobby currently serves on the Boards of Child Savers in Richmond and the Jefferson Trust at the University of Virginia. Bobby and his wife Betsy live in Manakin Sabot, VA and have three young adult children. He enjoys tennis, golf and hiking.
