About Stephen Smith, CWS®
Stephen is a Certified Wealth Strategist® and Premier Private Banker for SouthState based out of the Gervais Street branch in downtown Columbia. He is responsible for managing full-service banking relationships with businesses, professional practices & high-net-worth individuals. In addition, he partners with a dedicated team to ensure his clients can create, grow & preserve wealth. Stephen attended Midlands Technical College. Prior to joining SouthState in 2023, he spent over 17 years serving customers in a variety of banking roles, including as a Branch Manager & Wealth Lending Advisor. He is involved in various volunteer opportunities offered through Radius Church that support the greater Columbia community.
