About Stephen Smith, CWS®
Stephen is a Certified Wealth Strategist® and Premier Private Banker for SouthState based out of the Broad Street branch in downtown Charleston. He is responsible for managing full-service banking relationships with businesses, professional practices & high-net-worth individuals. In addition, he partners with a dedicated team to ensure his clients can create, grow & preserve wealth. Stephen attended Midlands Technical College. Prior to joining South State in 2023, he spent over 17 years serving customers in a variety of banking roles, including as a Branch Manager & Wealth Lending Advisor. He is a 2019 graduate of the Leadership Charleston program offered through the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. He also is involved in various volunteer opportunities offered through Seacoast Church that support the greater Charleston community.
