SouthState Strengthens Colorado Markets with Four New Hires

DENVER – May 11, 2026 – SouthState (NYSE: SSB) announces the hiring of 4 new bankers in the second quarter. These accomplished professionals will support key Colorado markets, bolster strong client relationships and support sustainable growth.

The producers joining SouthState’s Colorado banking team include:
Alexander Craig – commercial relationship manager, Greeley – is an experienced banker with experience in sales, retail banking and commercial banking. He comes to SouthState from SWABBCO where he served as chief financial officer.
Heather Loeb – commercial relationship manager, Fort Collins – joins SouthState from JP Morgan Chase where she worked as business acquisition relationship manager. Other previous roles include commercial banker, wealth advisor and branch manager.
Maria Miller – commercial relationship manager, Colorado Springs – has 30 years of banking experience with a focus on commercial lending, long-term client relationships, and portfolio management.
Jason Romero – senior financial advisor, Denver – has nearly three decades of banking and wealth management experience. He spent the bulk of his career at JP Morgan and Wells Fargo.
