- When there are Returns/NOCs that need to be reviewed, Treasury Navigator® for Commercial users will receive two reports — Nacha Notification of Change and Nacha Return. Treasury Navigator® for Business users will receive a single report titled ACH Return Item Notice/NOC Notice. An email will be sent notifying you to log into Treasury Navigator® to access the report(s) and view the items.
- ACH credits submitted through Treasury Navigator® will have a default lead time of two business days for the effective date.
- If you are required to prefund your outgoing ACH credits and sufficient funds are NOT available at the time you initiate your ACH activity, the Treasury Navigator® system will allow submission of the ACH files and the balance check will occur in the ACH system. You will not receive an online reject message if funds are not available. The ACH System will continue to check your available account balance until the settlement date. If funds are not available by the settlement date, the entries will not be processed.

When will my accounts transition to SouthState?
Independent Financial’s transition to the SouthState name and systems will begin on Friday, May 23. Effective Saturday, May 24, the name and features of your Independent Financial account(s) may change. We encourage you to reference the Account Information & Details Booklet previously mailed to you.
Will my account number change?
Your account number(s) will not change unless notified otherwise. If your account number changes, you will receive notification in advance.
How will my account change?
Depending on the type of account you have, there may be changes to the account name and the account features. We encourage you to review the Account Information & Details Booklet for details regarding any changes to your account. If you do not see your account listed, you may receive a separate communication regarding your account.
Will the bank’s routing number change?
On May 27, 2025, the routing number will change to 063114030.
Will I be able to access my loan through Treasury Navigator®?
Yes, you will be able to access your loan in Treasury Navigator®. (Note: SBA 7a, PPP and USDA loans can only be viewed through SouthState Online Banking. Borrowers for these types of loans can enroll at SouthStateBank.com/Enrollment.)
Can I make my loan payments through Treasury Navigator®?
You can make an internal transfer from your deposit account to your loan to make a regular or principal only payment. Treasury Navigator® also allows users to make interest-only payments. Internal transfer capabilities are not available for SBA 7a, PPP or USDA loans viewable in SouthState Online and Mobile Banking.
Are loan statements available in Treasury Navigator?
Loan statements, with the exception of SBA 7(a), PPP, and USDA loans, will be accessible through Treasury Navigator®. Email notifications are not when new statements become available.
Are there any changes to my loan?
Should there be any changes to your loan, you will receive direct communication. If your loan has a variable interest rate, refer to billing notices and statements (where applicable) for any rate changes.
Will my loan payment due date change?
Your loan payment due date should remain the same, unless notified otherwise.
Where do I send my loan payments?

Will my direct deposits and automatic drafts continue as usual?
Direct deposits and automatic drafts will continue without interruption. However, as a best practice, we encourage you to update the routing number with any businesses and/or government entities that send you direct deposits or draft payments from your account.
Will existing stop payments convert?
Yes. Existing Independent Financial stop payments will convert to SouthState with the current expiration date on file and remain active for six (6) months, but they will NOT be visible in Treasury Navigator®.

What will change about my Treasury Services?
Customers with Treasury Services through Independent Financial Business Online Banking will transition to Treasury Navigator® on Tuesday, May 27, after conversion weekend, May 23-26.
Why do I have to sign a new Treasury Management Agreement?
To continue your selected services and to ensure you and/or any authorized users are able to access your accounts using Treasury Navigator®, once we convert Independent Financial’s systems to SouthState, you will need to review and agree to the SouthState Treasury Management Master Service Agreement. The Agreement was sent via DocuSign to a designated authorized signer.
When can I start using Treasury Navigator®?
Business customers with Treasury Services through Business Online Banking, who are transitioning to either Treasury Navigator® for Commercial or Treasury Navigator® for Business, will receive an email invitation to preview Treasury Navigator®. During the Preview Period, customers who are transitioning to Treasury Navigator® for Commercial, will receive a Treasury Navigator® Activation Key that will allow them to complete their Treasury Navigator® enrollment and establish login credentials.

On Tuesday, May 27, you will have access to your accounts and services through Treasury Navigator®.
Where can I download the Treasury Navigator® Mobile App?
You can download the Treasury Navigator® Mobile App which is available in the App Store®3 or Google Play™4.
When will I no longer be able to use Business Online Banking?
Independent Financial Business Online Banking will be disabled at 7 p.m. CT | 6 p.m. MT on Friday, May 23. This means that you will not be able to submit any transactions or review historical information.
Do I need to download the Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser now?
Yes. If you are a Business Online Banking user for Treasury services, we encourage you to download the Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser now in advance of the Independent Financial bank operating system conversion to SouthState which will occur during conversion weekend (May 23-26).
How do I download Treasury Navigator® Secure Browser?
Please follow the instructions in the Secure Browser Download Guide. This guide provides helpful information regarding the download process.
I’ve downloaded the Secure Browser. What should I do next?
If you haven’t already, please log in to SouthState Treasury Navigator®, which will be available for a view-only access during the Preview Period (May 5-23), where you can create a non-expiring password, known as a PIN and receive your Secure Browser Activation Key that is needed to conduct business in Treasury Navigator® for Commercial on May 27.
Can I view my statement and check image history in Treasury Navigator®?
Yes. In June, you will be able to begin viewing past statements in Treasury Navigator®. We will load the 2025 statements over a 90-day period after the transition. We encourage you to download and save your current statement history before the system conversion begins on Friday, May 23. No transaction history prior to May 27, nor the associated paid check images, will be migrated to Treasury Navigator®.
Will there be changes to BAI2 codes?
The BAI2 file process is being updated to streamline reporting and reconciliations. If you will be sending or receiving files using the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), please refer to the email sent to you with important details or reference the SouthState BAI2 Format, SouthState X9 Client Summary, or ACH Spec Sheet for File Upload guides.

Will I need to stop generating ACH payments/batches through Independent Financial Treasury prior to the conversion weekend?
You may continue to submit ACH payments through Independent Financial Online banking through Friday, May 23; however, credit batches with an effective date after Wednesday, May 28, will not be processed. Debit batches with an effective date after Tuesday, May 27, will not be processed.
What is the ACH origination/authorization cutoff time through Treasury Navigator®?
Starting Tuesday, May 27, ACH batches and files can be originated and approved through Treasury Navigator® and the Mobile App with a cutoff time of 6:45 p.m. CT | 5:45 p.m. MT.
What is the cutoff time for same-day ACH processing through Treasury Navigator®?
For customers who are able to submit Same Day ACH files, the deadline for Same Day ACH processing through Treasury Navigator® is 12:30 p.m. CT | 11:30 a.m. MT.
Will my ACH payment history convert to Treasury Navigator®?
ACH payment history will not convert to Treasury Navigator®. We encourage you to download and save your payment history prior to May 23. Beginning May 27, up to 18 months of payment history will begin to accumulate in Treasury Navigator®.
Will ACH templates and batches convert to Treasury Navigator®?
Existing ACH limits and templates will convert; however, recurring ACH batches will NOT convert and must be re-established in Treasury Navigator® on Tuesday, May 27.

Treasury Navigator® for Commercial supports Nacha, EDI 820, ISO, CSV, XML and fixed-width text. Treasury Navigator® for Business users will need to manually key ACH batches.
How far in advance can I schedule ACH transactions?
Future-dated transactions can be scheduled and submitted in Treasury Navigator® up to 30 calendar days in advance.
Will I receive an activity report?

Will decision deadlines change?
The deadline for both ACH and Check Positive Pay decisions is 3:30 p.m. CT | 2:30 p.m. MT.
The deadline to upload a Check Positive Pay issue file for same day processing will be extended to 10:55 p.m. CT | 9:55 p.m. MT. ACH and Check Positive Pay exception decisions are retained in Treasury Navigator® for up to 18 months. Decision history will begin building on Tuesday, May 27.
What will happen if I do not respond before the Check or ACH Positive Pay deadline?
ACH Positive Pay decisions not made by the deadline will be returned, which is the Treasury Navigator® default. Check Positive Pay decisions not made by the deadline will be paid or returned based on your preferred default payment disposition.
What is the character limit for a Positive Pay payee file name?
Payee names on Positive Pay issue files cannot exceed 40 characters. Files uploaded with Payee names more than 40 characters will fail.
What is an acceptable Positive Pay File Format?
Positive Pay files must be submitted in one of the following formats: CSV, fixed-width text or XML.

Will Remote Deposit Capture be affected?
Mobile deposit limits will convert to Treasury Navigator® for Business during system conversion and can be accessed on Tuesday, May 27. Existing RDC and mobile deposit limits will convert to Treasury Navigator® for Commercial during system conversion and can be accessed on Tuesday, May 27.
Will I be able to deposit checks on my mobile device?
Yes. Beginning Tuesday, May 27, checks can be deposited using the Treasury Navigator® Mobile App.
What is the cutoff time for RDC and mobile deposits?
Generally, both RDC and mobile deposits received and accepted prior to 8 p.m. CT | 9 p.m. MT are processed on the business day of receipt and acceptance. Please contact Treasury Management Support for assistance if you exceed your limit.
Are deposits reflected in my account throughout the day?
RDC deposits will post periodically throughout the day. Deposits made via Image Cash Letter (ICL) or the Treasury Navigator® Mobile app are posted to your account at the end of the day.
BillPay FAQs
Will all of my online payments transfer to BillPay within Treasury Navigator®?
Yes. Your Bill Pay payees and payments will transfer to BillPay through Treasury Navigator®, including recurring payments. Please be aware not all electronic bills (eBills) will convert.
Will my bill payments scheduled over the transition weekend still be paid?
Any payments you have scheduled during the transition weekend will still be paid as scheduled.
Will I have access to my online bill payment history?
You will have access to six (6) months of bill payment history. Please print and/or save any additional history you may need prior to May 23.
Quicken® / QuickBooks® FAQs
I am a Quicken®/QuickBooks® user. How will the switch to Treasury Navigator® affect my access?
If you use Independent Financial Online Banking for access to Quicken® or QuickBooks®, your Independent Financial Online Banking profile will not convert to SouthState Online Banking for access to Quicken® or QuickBooks® as communicated in the Welcome Booklet. We’re pleased to share SouthState Treasury Navigator® supports Direct Connect, Express Web Connect and Web Connect access to Quicken® and QuickBooks®.
It’s important you perform a final transaction download before 4 p.m. CT | 3 p.m. MT on Friday, May 23.
To ensure the full transfer of your financial information stored in Quicken® or QuickBooks®, on Tuesday, May 27, you will need to update your financial institution by disconnecting from Independent Financial and connecting to SouthState-Treasury Navigator the first time you connect. If you use Direct Connect or Express Web Connect, please contact Treasury Management Support to assist you with connecting for the first time.
