About Chris Gilmer

Chris has been well-established in the banking space for over 30 years. Her hard work, tenacity, and personable attitude enabled her to ascend from the teller window all the way to roles in commercial lending, management, and the position of Vice President for Regions Bank, First Georgia Bank, and Bank of Athens for well over a decade. She has gained a unique level of expertise and experience with all aspects of the industry through coordinating multiple launches of successful high-volume bank branches. Her excellent capacity for networking and generating new business, along with her enthusiasm for helping people reach their personal financial goals, then led to discovering her preferred specialization as a Private Wealth Banker. She became an extremely valuable asset to the Athens Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 3 consecutive years, and is currently an active representative of The Oconee Chamber of Commerce as an integral member of The Women in Business Committee. The First Baptist Church of Winder, GA, benefitted greatly from her expertise during the years she served on the Personnel & Finance Committee. Her love for her community inspired her to pursue a hands-on role in organizations such as United Way, The Boys and Girls Club, and Habitat for Humanity as well. She possesses a relentless passion for mentoring other women to help them achieve balance in their lives both at work and at home, which has allowed her to make a tremendously positive impact on families across North Georgia. Chris is the loving wife of Alan Gilmer, mother to her son Davis, and is an unabashed cat-fanatic through and through.
