SouthState Announces Plans for First St. Petersburg Branch

TAMPA, Florida – June 16, 2026 – SouthState Bank today announced plans to open its first full-service branch in St. Petersburg early in the first quarter of 2027, expanding the bank’s presence in the Tampa Bay region. The new office will be located at 3701 4th Street North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33704, and will include a drive-thru and space for consumer, private and commercial banking teams.

“St. Petersburg is a city we’ve wanted to have a presence in for some time, so I am very excited about bringing the bank’s full suite of products and services to this thriving city through our new location,” said Angel Gonzalez, division president for the West Florida Region. “St. Petersburg is a unique city with unique needs. We’re working on building out a team of local bankers that understand the financial needs of the community and can deliver the personalized service clients in this community expect. We are very excited to see what the future holds for SouthState in St. Pete.”
SouthState has hired Stacia Schrader as the branch manager of its new St. Petersburg branch. Schrader has more than two decades of banking experience, working entirely in her home city of St. Petersburg. SouthState will continue expanding the branch team as it prepares to bring the full bank to market in St. Petersburg.

In addition, SouthState has hired Daniel Stone, a premier private banker. Stone brings more than 20 years of banking experience working for various financial institutions in the greater Tampa Bay region over that time.
