How to Manage Your SouthState Account

Online banking tools are constantly evolving to give people easier and more secure ways to manage their accounts on their own, without having to call a 1-800 number.


SouthState’s Online Banking includes simple ways to not only check your balance, but also print statements, find account information to set up direct deposit, and make payments quickly – from your mobile device or computer.

If you aren’t yet using the SouthState Mobile App, download here. Below are answers to a few frequently asked questions from customers. This guide is designed to help you simplify your account management.



How do I switch to eStatements?

Switching to eStatements reduces waste, gives you faster access to statements, and saves money. If you haven’t made the switch yet, enrolling is easy.
  1. Log in to Online or Mobile Banking
  2. Under Account Services, click Enroll in eStatements
  3. Verify PDF access. (You’ll only have to do this once.)
  4. Click Get Code, and one-time code will displays in a new tab in a PDF
  5. Copy or enter the code into the required field
  6. Click Verify
  7. For each of your accounts, chose Electronic Statements under Delivery Type
  8. Accept terms and click Submit

SouthState provides eStatements for checking and savings accounts. You’ll receive a notification email when statements are ready for viewing in Online Banking.

How do I find account and bank routing information for tax season?

Tax season is here, and SouthState makes it easy to locate your account number and bank routing number to set up the direct deposit of your tax refund.

You will need to enter your account information to receive your tax refund via direct deposit. SouthState’s routing number is 063114030.

To locate your account number, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to Online or Mobile Banking
  2. Click on the Account you need an account number for
  3. Click the yellow box that says Account Number

How do I download or print statements?

Do you need to print account statements for accounting or tax purposes? You can access statements easily from Online and Mobile Banking. You may find it easiest to save statements for printing from Online Banking on your personal computer instead of your mobile device.
  1. Log in to Online or Mobile Banking
  2. Under Account Services, click Statements and Documents
  3. Choose the Account, document and time frame you need.
  4. Click Continue
  5. Available statements will appear. To download a PDF for printing, click View and a download will automatically begin.
  6. Find the PDF in Downloads folder, and print from your computer.
 

How do I transfer money from my SouthState account?

SouthState’s Bank to Bank Transfer Service allows you to transfer funds from your account at SouthState to another bank or vice versa. To start sending money you must first add and verify the external account through a multi-day setup process. Additionally, you must be an owner of the external account to use the service. Once added, you can send transfers with only a few clicks.
  1. Log in to Online or Mobile Banking
  2. Click Transfer and Pay
  3. Choose Bank to Bank External Transfer
  4. Follow the prompts to add your external account information

Savings Tips: You can set up recurring transfers to a savings account if you’re trying to put aside money for a purchase or to pay down debt.
 

How do I pay my loan at SouthState?

Our bankers enjoy serving customers who visit our branches across the Southeast, but with the tools available through online banking, you can save yourself time, money, and an extra trip to the bank.

If you have a loan through SouthState, but do not have a deposit account with us, you can still make loan payments using SouthState’s online Loan Payments system. To access the Loan Payments system, visit the Bank’s website and click the “Login” button, then click on the arrow next to Online Banking and select Loan Payments. You will need your loan number and last four of your social security number.

If you create a Loan Payments account, your payment history will be available upon logging in. You may also make one-time payments if you choose.
