Online ordering opens up new ways to acquire new customers, streamline operations, and grow revenue. Talech online ordering is seamlessly integrated into your POS. So when an order is placed it automatically captures in Talech register with the rest of your orders. Talech online ordering increases line speed, removes counter clutter, and reduces administration time and expense. In this video, we'll walk through creating an online order and then show you how it was processed in Talech register. When customers visit your Talech online ordering website they'll see their logo in the background image uploaded from Talech.com. Customers can navigate easily between categories at the top of the page. To order click a category or scroll down to an item. Customers can view details in the product description and view a photo of the menu item if you have one. Any existing product variations or modifiers that you set in Talech are available to the customer during the online ordering experience.
Customers can add any special instructions to the order, then add to cart when the order is complete. Once completed, the customer can complete their order with the Check Out button on the top right. The order can be reviewed before final submission. This way any last minute adjustments can be made. The default pickup time frame is displayed for the customer based on your food prep settings configured at Talech.com. If a customer would like to schedule a later time for pickup they can specify this by clicking the Set Custom Time button. A tip amount can be entered online or at the register during pickup.
The customer is required to enter their first and last name, email address, phone number, and choice of online or in-store payments, if applicable. Allowing online payments can help speed up the pickup process and allow you to get back to serving dine-in customers more quickly. When the order is submitted, a customer will receive the confirmation email that their order has been received. The confirmation email includes an order number and an estimated time the food will be ready for pickup. All that's left is for the customer to pick up their order.
Now that the online order is submitted, let's see how it works in the register. From the login screen or dashboard a green notification bubble will appear when there's a pending online order. To review the order, tap on Orders from the dashboard or Register app. Then select online. You can view all online orders on this list. You'll see the time the order was placed, order number, customer information, ETA, and more.
To review an order or see order details, simply tap it. The customer information and the time the order was placed will be on the top of the order along with a countdown to the expected pickup time. The bottom of the order contains all products, modifiers, and special notes attached to the order. You can accept, reject, or send the order to the kitchen. If the kitchen is busy you can set a delay or disable online ordering within the app through Settings.
Once the food is ready for pickup simply recall the order from the online order list and tap the Ready button on the right side. You can choose to email a customer to let them know their order is ready or skip this step. If you allow and accept online payments tap the Complete button when the customer picks up the order. Alternatively, if the customer has opted to pay in store tap the Pay button and close the order as you normally would.
The customer's order status is updated every step of the way on the Track Orders Status page on Talech's online ordering page.
